this blog entry con­vinced to give eMusic a try. for only 14 bucks a month (or 9.99 a month if you commit to a year), unlim­ited down­loads, 192 VBR files encoded in LAME, you can’t go wrong. for the more main­stream stuff, i’ll still use the iTunes music store, but eMusic has a lot more obscure stuff i can’t find on iTunes music store (yet).

i’ll report back once i have used it for a week or so.

while we’re on the sub­ject, here’s some of my most lis­tened albums/songs of the week:

i’ll be adding a sec­tion to the site soon that has my 5 most recent played songs in iTunes, as well as a “albums of the week” type thing - for the one of two of you out there who actu­ally care about such things. it’s really just an excuse for me to get a better under­stand­ing of PHP.
