July 6th, 2004

the bad news is, i have not had a day off in a while, and only have one until next sat­ur­day @ cari­bou. rock­ing 40+ hour weeks isn’t a big deal @ an office job as much as it is run­ning around like a bitch serv­ing lattes to a bunch of soccer moms. being on your feet that much wears your ass out.

for­tu­nately, the good news is two fold - the one day i DO have off is … RAFT­ING TRIP 2004, everyone’s favorite excuse to get drunk and float down a river, crash­ing into every rock pos­si­ble, all the while yelling at each other for our inep­ti­tude with a raft.

part deux is … my last day @ Cari­bou is next friday. praise be to Allah. i stuck it out there until i was moving, but all they did was stick it to ME , by giving me the most insult­ing raise ever. so, my last day can’t come soon enough. funny thing is, employ­ees are drop­ping like flies there - i hope that place doesn’t fall apart. as of next Sat­ur­day, i’ll be head­ing to sunny florida with my family for a nice week long vaca­tion, then coming back, pack­ing up all my garbage, sell­ing crap on eBay, and moving to FL in early august. joy!

   all i remem­ber, and i’m sure all we all remem­ber, is Cory being in super rare form. we can only hope he lives up to the hype this time around.

   dub, drink one for me. sadly, the man kept me from attend­ing this year, until it was too late. i wish i could have gone with, but alas…..the point is moot as Rick Spring­field puts it. Have fun.
