September 30th, 2004

Well, today i started my 2nd month out of 13 here at glo­ri­ous Full Sail. I have a pretty nice sched­ule this month …

Monday 1-5
Wednes­day 1-9
Friday 1-9
Sat­ur­day 1-5

I’ll have a lot of free time, as opposed to last month where I couldn’t do any­thing but study and sleep.

I got a new mon­i­tor yes­ter­day! It’s a 17″ View­sonic VX710 - a 17″ flat panel mon­i­tor that has VGA and DVI inputs. This is great because it will work with my iBook, a pow­er­mac, power­book, or PC. I took a picure of my clut­tered soon-to-be-upgraded-”desk” - check it out below! So far, it’s been very help­ful with taking care of work and what­not, having 12″ + 17″ is a lot nicer than simply 12″ of space.

Also, I finally got a book I’ve been mean­ing to Read for a while now: Design­ing With Web Stan­dards, by Jef­frey Zeld­man. Seems like a very inter­est­ing read, and will most likely:

a) teach me a lot.
b) make me want to re-​design my site with all the cool tricks i’ve learned.

Anyhow, It’s bed­time. And that’s about the only excit­ing things hap­pen­ing in my life right now. Adios!

   Haha, what did you expect? I’m buying a bigger desk this week to hold all my stuff … this cur­rent model is small to begin with, but then put a laptop, a mon­i­tor, and speak­ers on it, and it looks like it’s about to col­lapse.

   Yep, some­thing like 30 bucks or so. Most wobbly, rick­ety POS I’ve ever had the plea­sure of using.
