It was really nice to be home for a few days and see some of my friends - I even got to catch up with some­one I haven’t seen in a LONG time, and it really made the entire trip worth­while by itself. The trip back was pretty nice, and when I got back to Orlando, I was really look­ing for­ward to cool­ing down in my apt, and gen­er­ally unwind­ing before start­ing back to school this week.

My A/C unit is on the fritz … again. It *runs* tech­ni­cally - cool air does come out of the vents, how­ever, it’s not cold, it’s cool. By my esti­ma­tion, the cold­est this place has gotten is 75 or 80 at night, and close to 90 during the day. We’ve filed numer­ous com­plaints to the apt com­plex, and every time they come to check it out, we get the same tired reply about how cold air seems to be coming out, and “it’s Florida - it can only get so cool, ya know.” (iron­i­cally, the leas­ing office is a crisp 60 degrees at all times)

They’re sup­posed to come by tomor­row morn­ing and fix whatever’s wrong - I highly doubt any­thing will come out of it, though. Might I add that it is so hot right now that the CPU fan for my G5 (which never runs unless I’m doing some insane video com­pres­sion or some­thing along those lines) has been run­ning non-​stop for at least 2 hours. I’m going to put my Mac to sleep in a few just so I can let the poor guy rest.

Anywho, let’s hope they do some­thing - it’s sup­posed to be in the mid 90s all week here. No A/C would be a bad thing…

…..4 months till I can live in a real apart­ment complex……

   hey, that hap­pened to our a/c too, they came like 4 times before they real­ized what was wrong, and now its really cold… so maybe, just maybe, you will be so lucky as to have a really cold a/c!

   Update!

   They fixed the A/C and things seem to be okay … for now.

   I know what you mean, man. Our AC was goin grazy not too long ago. Luck­ily they came by and fixed it pretty quick.

   Hope they fix yours soon!
