Exciting News!

I found out today that I have been selected as one of only a few of my fellow students to present my digital portfolio the week of my graduation. I must admit, I’m rather surprised that I was selected, but I’m not complaining. Given some of the projects that I have seen from other members of my class, to be part of this presentation is pretty exciting. Basically, our digital portfolios are regular CDs that you can put into a CD-ROM drive and it will load up an interactive environment that you can then browse through all of the work I have completed while enrolled here. From videos to interactive games to web sites, it’s all there to be seen.
Judging by the groups I’ve seen recently at presentations, the crowd will be a bit daunting, but I generally do fine during things like this. Since it’s not for a grade, and I’ll just be glad to be DONE with school, I doubt I’ll be that nervous. Also, the selected members have to come up with a poster for the presentation … the chosen few have discussed a few ideas, so that’s another little project that is creeping up on me. Funny thing, I thought this last month was going to be full of video games and sleep. All of a sudden, I have a freelance project to finish and 3 school projects.
It’s crazy that there are only 2.5 weeks of classes left, and 3.5 weeks until I will be moving back to Atlanta. I’ve said it a hundred times, but it’s amazing how fast time has flown down here.

I’m sure you’ll do fine. I’ve only seen a small sampling of your work, but you definitely have talent, and this proves it. Congratulations, and we’re looking forward to having you back in the ATL.

Thanks man. Yea, I’m excited about just being back in a familiar city with people I’ve known for a while. Plus the normal staples like Moes and joes, etc. are beckoning me.
And, much to Erik’s chagrin, my apartment will be stocked from top to bottom with trendy IKEA furniture.
