New Apartment in Smyrna

October 4th, 2005

I’m basically moved into my new apartment after a few days of insanity. Ever since Thursday of last week, I’ve been going non-stop, between school stuff, moving out of my old apartment in Orlando, and moving up to Atlanta this past weekend. Once I got all of my stuff settled in, then began the fun task of buying and moving new furniture to replace the older stuff I sold in FL. There are a few holdovers (most notably, the love seat from Caribou), but a lot of my stuff is newish. (pics are below)

Still have lots of odds and ends to pick up, but I’m pretty pleased with the place so far. My apartment complex is very nice, very wooded and very secluded. It’s pretty close to a lot of stores in the area - the mall is about 2 minutes away, the highway is about 1 minute, as well as grocery stores, Home Depot, etc. The Vinings village is about 5 minutes away, with all of it’s fancy-schmancy restaurants and whatnot, so I’ll have to give that place a whirl as well.

Work starts tomorrow, so it’ll be nice to settle into some sort of normalcy.

It’s no nelson residence, but frankly .. what is?

  3. A house literally built in the veryyyy-early 1900’s.

  4. and stinks of rotting old man

  5. Daniel Andrews says:

And tomorrow will stink of German beer. NELTOBERFEST 2k5!

  6. are we making neltoberfest t-shirts?

I’ve heard rumors, but cannot confirm nor deny at this point.

  8. hey - just thought i’d check up on you and see how you’re doing…

    the place looks great! :)

  9. Yes, there were official Neltoberfest 2K5 shirts courtesey of Becky and I. Although I’m pretty sure Bonnie didn’t approve, they were slightly less than awesome, as I’m sure you can imagine. Ryan you’re next…I can see “DRoc and Son’s 4th of July Spectacular!” on a t-shirt in the future.

  10. Daniel Andrews says:

Christ … I can’t wait to see those shirts.

Speaking of Neltoberfest, I think it’d be a good idea to go back to the Nelson residence soon and finish off that keg. That beer was quite tasty, and it’d be a shame to see it go to waste.

  11. theres still beer left?

  12. there certainly is, AND i have the keg chilling in the refrigerator as we speak. i say tomorrow night either pre/post/or instead of moe’s and joe’s?

  13. please dont get eaten by a bear. from the looks of those woods you could get lost forever and be buried in a lush foresty grave. too much unsolved mysteries i think. have fun, it looks nice.

  14. Daniel Andrews says:

If we can make more brats, I’m down to opt out of M&J for some more neltoberfest-style fun.

It’s hard to turn down a tasty CQ, but I can hold off till next week or something.

  15. I liked the shirts!

  16. You should enable TypeKey. Btw, the place looks nice.

  17. White Sox win bitches!!

  18. Just for you Henry - typekey enabled.

  19. Your new apartment looks great. It encouraged me to redecorate my apartment in houston.
