Wowza…

October 30th, 2005

…the Death Cab for Cutie show was flat out amazing. I don’t really go to many concerts anymore, but I’m really glad I went to this one. Huge turnout, and they’re one of the ‘tightest’ bands live I’ve seen in quite some time.

Getting to the venue and finding parking was the most time consuming part of the evening - I forgot that the Ga Tech game was @ home this weekend, so there was an obscene amount of traffic in the area. Speaking of football ….

Nice to see UGA lose, while FSU, and GT won. Now if the Bucs can complete the trifecta tomorrow, I’ll be one happy camper.

  1. how bout them dawgs?

  2. Seeing them lose to UF … for the zillionth time in the past 15 years … brings a grown man to tears.

There are only a few times each year I cheer for UF, and yesterday was one of those days.

  3. glad death cab was awesome, I wish I couldve seen them at the tabernacle but hard rock live was pretty much the same size just at little more spacious. They are probably one of the best bands ever

(no comment on UF, except I hate them)

  4. Hey, I didn’t know you were a DCFC fan. They’ve been my favourite band for about 5 years now. Zak, Brandon and I just saw them at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando on Sunday. That’s the third time I’ve seen them and they definitely put on a good show. I don’t know who your opener was, but ours was “Stars” and they were horrible and seemed to get worse with each song.

  5. Hey Erika!

Yea, I’ve been a fan for a while now - I saw them about 3 or 4 years ago here in Atlanta with Dismemberment Plan, and the rest is history. I could swear we had this discussion… I think I used a Death Cab song in one of my projects or something and it came up that way. Maybe that was someone else.

What is Zak doing in Orlando? I thought he was living with Riehl in Jacksonville? Or was he just in town for the show?

Hope everything’s going well for you down in O-town.
