Serenity.

I’m not a religious man … but this ’serenity prayer’ always makes me feel better when I am going thru a tough time:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Right now, all I can really do is realize most of the things that have transpired over the past few weeks are not things I can control. Frankly, I have no idea what’s going to happen with this whole situation. I maintain very guarded optimism for the best, but I DO know that karma has a way of leveling things out over the course of a lifetime for everyone involved. That puts me at peace, knowing the future is very bright for me, regardless of who I end up with.

Doesn’t make any of this any easier to deal with today, though…

How did that happen? I cannot believe it’s already time to start thinking about Christmas Trees, presents, family functions, and all the great (but cheesy) holiday movies that I love so dearly. This year has really flown by, and in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’m so thankful for the job that I have, my family, and for my friends as well. I’m a really lucky guy.

fallleavesIt’s really starting to feel like fall outside. I, for one, am so thankful that the super warm temperatures of the summer are pretty much long gone now. Fall is, hands down, my favorite season.
