Hilarious. I'm not going to argue with you on here, but I'd be happy to forward you all of the emails we had sent back & forth if you have misplaced them. I certainly held up my end of the bargain, and the entire site's text was in fact editable via the back-end that I had set up for you.

That's what I charged you for, and that's what you didn't pay for.

I don't think you driving 500 miles for a 'sit down' over a few hundred dollars is something I'd like either of us to waste our time over (moreover, if posting a little story that a lot of web designers can relate to is a waste of my time and energy, how is driving hundreds of miles acceptable?).

Just learn to communicate with people properly & live up to your end of the bargain if you're going to be the point man for a project. It's generally quite simple.

Daniel,

I am the guy who you are referring to as a sleazeball. I am the son of owner and did his website for him originally.

First off, you built this website because of a school project, and WE were nice enough to allow you to use our business as a platform for your lessons.

After seeing what a Great job you did, I decided to convince my father to try and hire you to use it as a basic design platform.

You were supposed to build a back door to allow us to change content and pictures, which we never saw. You were leaving us emails and voice mails demanding payment for something we didn't see. How was I supposed to convince a computer challenged baby boomer to pay you for something when there was no product?

I linked your site to the domain so that my father could pull it up in his own time and figure out what he wanted to change in the site, not to take advantage of your work. Although your design was great, none of the content was correct and that was what he needed to change. If you think that we benefited from having a site with entirely wrong content then you are mistaken.

My father has no knowledge about link domains to sites. You are slamming the wrong person.

If you have a problem with anyone, it is me, and I would love to come to Atlanta for a sit down any time that is convenient for you. Or if you are making a trip to Winter Park, I will be glad to meet you.

In the mean time, posting silly remarks about people that isn't true, or at least skewed, is a huge waste of time and energy. As a new business owner, talking trash about anyone does nothing than make you look petty and you will lose business that way.

Sincerely,
The Sleazeball

Here's a funny update to this story:

When you search google for Palmanos.com, I am one of the top two entries. When you search for Palmanos, I am on the first page.

I really hope at least a few people come across my site and see what kind of sleazeballs they are.

They have enough knowledge of DNS' to change them within hours, yet they couldn't take the five minutes it took to call you about payment for the work you did for them?

Distasteful.
